Objective of the project
To create a sustainable, competitive, environment-friendly, fast and safe public transportation system, thus making public transportation attractive and to create a modern townscape.

Project elements
- Complete reconstruction of the existing track (10.3 km)
- Construction of wide platforms, covered waiting facilities, establishment of an advanced passenger information system.
- Procurement of 19 new vehicles and the revamp of Tátra trams
- Extension of the track between Diósgyőr - Felső-Majláth (1.5 km);

- finalization of the actual technical content and working drawings, preparation of the detailed feasibility study supported with the cost-benefit analysis
