Miskolc Heat Supply Ltd. (Miskolci Hõszolgáltató Kft.) is a public utility company which operates the second largest distance heating system in Hungary and produces and supplies heat for approximately 31 thousand retail and 1000 industrial consumers in the city of Miskolc.

Distance heating provides the most modern and environment friendly heating for both residential buildings and industrial consumers in Miskolc. In light of this, the Company develops the supply system and improves the safety of operation focusing on environment friendly methods.

Short History of the Company

October 1, 1992
Miskolci Hõszolgáltató Vállalat was established by the local government of Miskolc City of County Rank (CoCR) in connection with the transfer of the public distance heating utilities to the local governments.

January 1, 1996
The local government transformed the company into a business organization called MIHÕ Miskolci Hõszolgáltató Kft.

December 20, 1999
the local government of Miskolc CoCR, as the 100% owner of the two companies, merged Miskolci Fûtõmû Kft. into MIHÕ Miskolci Hõszolgáltató Kft. with general succession

July 6, 2006
the ownership rights are exercised by Miskolc Holding Önkormányzati Vagyonkezelõ Zrt. founded by the Local Government of Miskolc City of County Rank.
