Activity
The main activity of the Company is the operation of the local public transportation system in Miskolc and the nearby town of Felsőzsolca. In addition to this, the Company maintains the facilities (operation of seven terminals in addition to the central office), structures (tramway), machines, equipment, transformers it operates. As supplementary activity, the Company also deals with the maintenance of the bus stops.

July 10, 1897
The first tram entered service in Miskolc
November 17, 1948
Scheduled bus service within the city started.
1954.
The two independent companies operating the bus and tram lines were united to form MKV (Miskolci Közlekedési Vállalat) Mass Transport Company of Miskolc.
February 4, 1994
The Local Government of Miskolc City of County Rank founded Miskolc Mass Transport Plc. for the performance of the local public transportation tasks
December, 2004 On the basis of the public service contract concluded with Miskolc City of County Rank, the Company performs public transportation services in the area of Miskolc and Felsőzsolca towns as well as between Felsőzsolca and Miskolc.
July 6, 2006
The ownership rights are exercised by Miskolc Holding Önkormányzati Vagyonkezelő Zrt. founded by the Local Government of Miskolc City of County Rank.
